Atlantisite is a commercial name for a variety of serpentine which contains particles of purple stichtite as well. This appealing yellowish-green mineral with purple inclusion is mined only at Stichtite Hill, Tasmania. It is usually sold in the form of tumbled stones, cabochons, and beads and is named after the fictional island of Atlantis.
